Restore Movement, 100 Metres from Central Station
Vincent King has practised as an osteopath since 2009, bringing nearly two decades of clinical experience to his Surry Hills clinic. Located on Randle Street, a short walk from Central Station, bus stops and the light rail, the clinic makes it easy for people across the inner city to access expert, hands-on care for pain and injury.
Whether you're dealing with a stubborn lower back, a sports injury, or headaches that won't shift, Vince takes a whole-body, whole person approach to find the root cause, not just the symptom.
An Evidence-Based Approach to Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a registered, 5-year university-trained health profession that looks at how the joints, muscles, nerves and tendons work together. Rather than treating an isolated symptom, Vince assesses how your whole body moves and builds a tailored plan combining hands-on treatment with exercise and education.
Vince's approach draws on:
Acknowledging that the mind and the body are interconnected. Recognising the effect of stress and emotions and how the body holds this.
Hands-on manual therapy, including soft tissue release, joint mobilisation and stretching
Dry needling, based on trigger point theory, to release tight bands of muscle
Tailored rehabilitation exercises to build strength and prevent the problem returning
Education and lifestyle advice, so you understand what's driving the pain and how to manage it long term

is built on experience, evidence and partnership. My approach combines nearly two decades of clinical experience with the latest and best available evidence, while recognising that every person and every situation is different.

with your body is an important part of recovery. I take the time to explain things clearly and in a way that makes sense, so you understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and what you can do to help yourself.

Our Services
Osteopathy
A tailored, hands-on treatment approach in conjunction with rehabilitation exercises, based on how your body moves, assessed from a mechanical, functional and postural perspective. Every treatment plan is built around your specific injury and goals.
Rehabilitation
Tailored exercises to build strength, restore movement and relieve pain, so recovery lasts beyond the treatment table.
Dry Needling
A fine acupuncture needle is used to release deeply held, tight bands of muscle called a trigger point. A local twitch response often signals the trigger point has released, helping ease tension and pain.
Mental Health First Aid
Initial support for anyone experiencing a developing mental health issue or crisis, with referral to appropriate resources and services.
What to Expect at Your First Appointment
-
Please allow up to 1 hour for the initial Osteopathy appointment. A medical history is taken to understand what is happening and the context of why. During initial treatment, treatment is offered and exercises prescribed. Where required, referral to appropriate health care practitioners or imaging.
-
Dressing down to the underwear allows assessment and treatment of regions required. Gowns are offered to all patients. Some patients also wear shorts with the gown. The most important thing is you feel comfortable.
-
All initial treatments start with understanding what and why. Medical history and physical assessment is the way to understand this.
-
Currently initial Osteopathy appointments are $175 (1hour) and follow up Osteopathy appointments are $130 (45mins). Private health insurance, depending on your level of cover is processed for you in clinic. We also accept and process GP Chronic Disease Management Plans.

Patients are surprised by how thorough assessment and treatment is and the level of explanation. As a practitioner I try to put myself in the patients’ shoes and I asked myself “if I was the patient, what would I want to know about my injury/ recovery?”.
I started my career as an Osteopath at The Wholistic Medical Centre, Surry Hills, after graduating from university in 2009. I am practising in the same room 17 years later, though the clinic has changed hands and is now called Wellshare. Over this time I’ve seen Surry Hills evolve into a vibrant area with excellent public transport option and night life. In the early days of my practice, patients worked locally in Surry Hills, Darlinghurst and Redfern surrounds. Now many of my patients live in these areas. I love the diversity of people coming to the clinic that live or work in the local community.
Meet Vince
Vincent King, B.App.Sc, M.Ost (Osteopath), has practised as an osteopath since 2009 and worked as a remedial sports massage therapist since 2000. He holds a Diploma of Applied Science (Massage Therapy) from TAFE, a Bachelor's in Applied Science and Master's degree in Osteopathy from Western Sydney University.
Vince's path to osteopathy started after a heart condition landed him in hospital following a surfing accident during a storm. Looking out the window at St Vincent's Hospital, he realised how much physical wellbeing shapes our ability to move through the world freely, a realisation that shaped his commitment to understanding the human body.
Today, Vince combines soft tissue release, stretching, dry needling and tailored exercise to help patients in Surry Hills and Kogarah recover and stay moving.
